Perceptiv Connected Services and Regal are recognized leaders in metals and heavy industry. Perceptiv Services was recently invited to be a guest speaker at the 2020 Long Products Committee Training, and routinely participates at both AIST and SMRP events. Vendor booths at these events showcase various Perceptiv Connected Services live demonstrations of sensors, equipment, live analytics, streaming data and cloud-based dashboards. Members of the Perceptiv Connected Services team have authored and presented at the annual AISTech conferences, and published articles on condition monitoring in recognized publications. Many of the Perceptiv™ team are active members of not only AIST but SMRP as well.

By collaborating with OEMs, warranties can be extended for equipment utilizing Perceptiv Services technologies and customers realize more value from their investments. Perceptiv™ can work through OEMs to provide end users with actionable information and early warnings to fault indicators. Perceptiv™ analysts review trends and data features in an effort to promote favorable outcomes for OEM partners and end-users. The additional information is beneficial for all parties involved to detect impending faults early and prevent catastrophic failures.

Perceptiv Connected Services has a global reach, with trained engineers and technicians across the world. The remote monitoring systems typically utilize annual service contracts, which include periodic reporting, telemetry system maintenance, automated analysis and alerts, custom cloud-based dashboards and a commitment to outcome-based services. Standard monitoring systems can be easily customized to fit nearly any location and application. Shorter term diagnostic services are also available to help customers evaluate product mix changes effects on equipment health, or to diagnose specific pain points.

Knowledgeable and Relevant Experience
The engineers and technicians that make up the Perceptiv Connected Services group have over 100 years of combined experience in the field. Our certified vibration analysts, degreed application engineers and experienced field technicians have experience with thermography, alignments, motor current signature analysis, PLC’s, torque analysis, coupling installations and more. Each predictive tool is considered, and often tools are used in parallel, when approaching customers issues in order to produce the desired outcomes. Perceptive Connected Services team members routinely consult each other and work together to fully utilize their combined Metals industry experience. Our personnel are still often found in the field, and often work remotely to be ready and available to support our customers.
“… due to Regal-Beloit's installed and monitored torque monitoring systems on our reversing steckel mill's main drive spindles, we were able to correspond certain behaviors of the spindles and the torque findings to real life problems with our spindles. We recently had an issue with our spindles that resulted in the work roll sleeve studs shearing, this failure was caught during routine inspections, but upon further investigation it was found to correspond with data that Regal was collecting. The team at Regal have been working together to pinpoint data such as these to give us real world warnings for potentially serious damage occurring as we run.With Regal's help, we are aware whenever certain items may need to be inspected, that before would not have been possible.
