We know your washdown duty motors have tough environments to face. With constant exposure to high pressure sprays and harsh chemicals, the slightest opening could lead to motor damage or bacteria build-up. That’s why we didn’t leave anything to chance, designing a motor more watertight than ever before. The entire motor housing, including the end bells, is encapsulated for unsurpassed sealing. All to help you avoid downtime and reduce replacement costs by keeping what’s outside-out.

- The Q-Car rotor cartridge replacement kit makes replacing worn bearings ultra-simple. No special tools, no damaged seals. The kit ensures a perfectly fitted and watertight bearing with no additional machining required in only a matter of minutes.
- Patent-pending 360° rotatable O-ring conduit box simplifies installation. An adapter within the smooth-weld conduit box allows for full rotation, convenient wire entry, and protects the non-wicking chemical- and abrasion-resistant colored leads.
- Two-piece shaft seal technology provides three points of protection on both ends of the motor. This proprietary shaft seal underwent a year of testing — 8,760 hours – to ensure what’s outside, stays out.

There’s a new, higher bar to cross in the LEESON® washdown motor category. Building on the success of the industry-leading Extreme Duck® series, we took it a giant leap forward with design enhancements to the body, making it more watertight than ever before. We’re talking major improvements to the base feet design and a new patent-pending smooth-weld conduit box on our fractional motors that eliminate the chance of fluid ingress during extreme washdown conditions. Sealed with an exclusive vacuum epoxy encapsulation system, whatever tries to get into the winding is effectively kept out. Water, oil, cutting fluid, go ahead, give it your best shot.

1. FULLY ENCAPSULATED INTERNAL EPOXY ENCAPSULATION
Full body sealing, including both end-bells, reduces air pockets where condensation can occur. Points of entry for contaminants are minimized, and drain plugs and breathers are eliminated.
2. TWO-PIECE SHAFT SEAL TECHNOLOGY
This new design provides three points of protection on both ends of the motor.
3. INNER DOUBLE-LIPPED VITON® SHAFT SEAL
This oil, water, and chemical resistant technology are ideally suited for extreme environments that undergo routine washdown.

To simplify installation, the patent-pending smooth-weld conduit box allows for full rotation facilitating wire entry and protects non-wicking, chemical, and abrasion resistant colored leads.

If bearings need replacement, our exclusive Q-Car™ Rotor cartridge disassembles by removing four bolts saving you time and money.
7. FULL-FACT NAMEPLATE
Permanently laser etched into the motor frame, this nameplate will never be separated from the motor.
Prevent Bacterial Buildup in Food Processing
With full stainless steel construction, these motors handle the high pressure spray and caustic chemical washdown environment. To keep food processing byproducts and fluids from being harbored on the motor, seams have been minimized, shafts fully sealed, and a new mounting design helps prevent the opportunity for bacterial build-up.
