Regal Rexnord Is 2021 Big IDEA! Award Winner for Tag-It Asset Management Platform
Part of company’s IoT offerings, Tag-It recognized as Bronze Award winner for enabling users to simplify asset management for maintenance
BELOIT, Wis., Nov. 10, 2021 — Regal Rexnord, a global leader in the engineering and manufacturing of electric motors and controls, power generation products and power transmission components, today announced it won the Bronze Award in the 2021 IDEA! Awards contest for its Tag-It program powered by Perceptiv™ intelligence. The IDEA! Awards, sponsored by Endeavor Business Media, highlight top industry innovations from 14 categories. The awards are presented at the Industrial Design, Engineering & Automation (IDEA!) Conference, held Nov. 9-12 in Cleveland. Tag-It was a Bronze winner in the Sensors category.
Tag-It is an asset management platform that enables users to view details on mechanical and electrical assets in operation and reduce redundant or obsolete inventory. Perceptiv wireless monitoring can also be added to watch critical assets continually. At the push of a button, users can see the health of their equipment and be proactive with maintenance and replacements before unplanned downtime occurs.
“The 2021 IDEA! Award winners represent the continuing quest for innovation and process improvement that the industry needs and the end users expect,” said Bob Vavra, senior content director for both Machine Design and Hydraulics and Pneumatics. “Because these awards are selected by our readers, they reflect the value our audience places on always striving for better operational efficiency, safety and quality. We congratulate this year’s IDEA! Award winners for matching that standard of excellence.”
The Perceptiv intelligence platform is an interconnected matrix of smart, digital solutions bundled with the Tag-It program to simplify asset management for maintenance and procurement teams. It enables users to reduce maintenance time, streamline the procurement process, and achieve inventory objectives by integrating data silos. In addition, users can manage everything in one place using the Perceptiv intelligence internet of things (IoT) platform.
With the Tag-It program, users can scan a quick response (QR) code and obtain product information to correctly identify units and minimize errors. This allows facilities to obtain the right parts at the right time to help maintain a safe and productive operation.
The Tag-It program facilitates standardization and optimization of maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) inventory and minimizes the number of stock keeping units (SKUs). With this solution, replacement equipment can be obtained faster and installed during scheduled maintenance times, reducing costs and downtime.
“The combination of hardware, software and “human-ware” provides a new way for users to interact with Regal Rexnord products and their equipment,” said Dan Phillips, technical director, Perceptiv Connected Services at Regal Rexnord. “Tag-It provides a seamless customer experience and a path for continuous improvement with documented cost savings.”
