The customer faced a severe decline in bearing performance within a frozen poultry processing application. Breaders operated continuously-24/7, 365 days a year, placing extreme demands on the equipment. Competitive bearings were failing every 2-4 weeks due to seal degradation, loss of sealing integrity, and shaft lock issues. The bearings were being replaced often, resulting in excessive downtime and cost overruns.

THE SOLUTION
The customer worked with Regal RexnordTM specialists, who recommended installation of Sealmaster PN Gold Bearings.
The high performance seal of the Sealmaster PN Gold minimized contamination in the wet environment. Additionally, the SKWEZLOCTM locking collar helped to center and secure the shaft. Competitors' product used setscrews which can corrode, and when overtightened can crack the bearing housing.
