An Upgrade from Tapered Roller Bearings
Many producers use tapered roller bearings. PT Select are drop-in interchanges to tapered roller bearings. Spherical roller bearings are superior to tapered roller bearings in misalignment capabilities. Additionally, they offer higher speed ratings. Switching from existing tapered roller bearings to spherical roller bearings can provide significant performance advantages for your grain operation.

The leading cause of bearing failure in the grain industry is contamination due to grain dust. Superior sealing capabilities are of the utmost importance. To this end, PT Select offers two engineered bearing seal options:
- A standard triple lip seal option. This provides the highest level of ingress protection against contamination. The PT Select triple lip seal has been thoroughly tested against competitive seals. PT Select is proven to provide superior contamination protection. PT Select also has the lowest steady operating temperature. Grain dust can be explosive, so minimizing operating temperature is extremely important.
- All-metal clearance seal. PT Select offers an all-metal clearance seal for high-speed applications. A recently-introduced magnetic end caps feature can be easily added to any bearing in the field.
