In this segment of Motor Minute™ technical tip I am going to talk about Genteq® Evergreen® VS Universal Variable Speed Replacement Motors.

Constant airflow “Variable Speed” ECM (Electronically Commutated Motors) were introduced to the HVAC industry in 1987. Today these motors are commonplace in premium level high efficiency HVAC equipment.

Genteq motors have evolved through multiple iterations since their introduction, but the 16-pin and 4-pin communication connections have been the most widely used. However, the 5-pin line voltage connection is the same on all of these models.

The Evergreen VS motor makes it easier than ever to replace Genteq variable speed motors. The pre-programmed user interface (sold separately) makes the motor compatible with Genteq models 2.0, 2.3 and Eon® motors.

The pre-programmed motor is a plug and play replacement for Genteq model 3.0 motors.
