Good
White Duck motors are designed for occasional washdown application.
With a USDA-approved white epoxy finish and an IP55 enclosure rating, these motors work well anywhere food is being processed.
They include the Inverter Rated Insulation System (IRIS). IRIS ensures a longer lifespan when used with a variable speed drive.
Better
SST Duck and Premium Duck motors are designed for more frequent cleaning operations.
These stainless steel motors prevent corrosion and protect against moisture and condensation to protect internal components.
SST Duck and Premium Duck are best in applications where long life and protection against moisture is needed, like beverage and bottling facilities.
Best
Extreme Duck Ultra motors are designed to withstand extreme washdown applications. They're tested and proven to protect against water and dust.
They include a full vacuum encapsulated stator, minimizing the risk of moisture and other containments to collect overtime.
A removable Q-Car™ rotor cartridge allows easy replacement of worn bearings.

The Extreme Duck Ultra Has Proven to Be Our Best Option!
The Extreme Duck Ultra motor has undergone a challenging set of tests to ensure the accuracy of its IP69 rating. Motors built to withstand high pressure and steam-cleaning earn an IP69 rating.
As part of the test, Extreme Duck motors are sprayed at a close range (approx. 6 inches) using a high pressure nozzle at multiple angles. The water pressure during testing has been between 1160-1450 psi, at 80 degrees C.
Shaft seal technology for these motors has been enhanced to handle installation in any orientation. The vacuum epoxy encapsulation system keeps elements such as water, dust, dirt, and oil out of the windings. The Extreme Duck Ultra motor has a removable Q-CAR™ rotor cartridge. The cartridge is designed for easy bearing replacement without disassembling the motor. This allows for quick access to the interior of the motor when needed to replace parts efficiently.
Extreme Duck Ultra motors protect from the “outside-in” and eliminate the need for drain plugs and breathers.

Q-CAR™ Rotor Cartridge
The Q-Car rotor cartridge is a removable rotor cartridge, allowing access to the motor’s internal components. It can be removed and replaced without disrupting the motor’s IP69 rating.
