Overview / Introduction
Now, it’s easier than ever for admins to manage and update user permissions. With Regal’s new layout and functionality there’s more power in the user’s hands, allowing admins to intuitively add, remove, and modify permission settings around user access.
In order to perform the following actions around User Management, log in to Regalrexnord.com and select the account in which you want to update user permissions. Once you reach the homepage, navigate to User Management using through the menu drop down or eCommerce activity options.
Request Account Access
Users with access to an existing account who require access to more than one account can visit the Profile section of the their account under the drop down menu or eCommerce homepage navigation.
Manage New and Existing User Permissions
In order to fulfill the following actions, you must be listed as an admin on your Regal account.
Once signed in to the account in question, visit the User Management tab on Regalrexnord.com. Here, you will see an overview of all users and their permissions listed, including any pending requests for account access.
Add a New UserIf you are an administrator of your company’s Regalrexnord.com account you will have access to add and manage users. Navigate to the User Management section of the website. Here, you’ll notice a list of users tied to the account you are logged in under.
By selecting the Add New button, account admins can enter the information of the new user.
Once added, the new user will receive an email notification that they have been invited to join a Regalrexnord.com account.
Assign accounts to existing website users
If a customer already registered for access to RegalRexnord.com for other access like EDGE tools or Genteq technical documents, you may get an error stating that the user already exists.
To add e-commerce access to this user, request that the user (1) login to their account, (2) click “Add Additional Access to Your Profile”, (3) Enter the account number(s) you wish them to access. You can also send them to this help article.
You will then get an email alert as well as see the user in your Manage Users screen.
Pending StatusAccounts shown as pending require a role to be chosen and a status to be selected.
Under the Manage User page, admins can user profile information, assign roles, and remove users from listed accounts. When finished, click Submit.
NOTE: Roles are applied across all accounts a user falls under. Changing an existing user’s role will impact their access on other Regalrexnord.com accounts.
